A kitchen that works the way you actually cook
Most of the kitchens we are asked to remodel are not failing because of the finishes. They are failing because of the floor plan. A peninsula lands in the wrong spot, the refrigerator door blocks the only walkway, or there is nowhere to set a hot pan down between the range and the sink. We start every kitchen project by walking through how you use the room — who cooks, how many people are in there at once, where the groceries come in, and what drives you crazy today. Then we design around that.
Because we handle framing, drywall, electrical coordination, plumbing coordination, tile and finish carpentry in-house, we can tell you on day one whether moving that wall is a weekend of work or a structural project. You get a straight answer before you spend money on cabinets, not after.

What a TLC kitchen remodel covers

Layout & Structure
Removing or opening walls, adding headers and beams, relocating doorways, and squaring up out-of-level floors and ceilings so cabinets install clean.

Cabinetry & Built-Ins
Stock, semi-custom or shop-built cabinetry, pantry systems, appliance panels, floating shelves and custom built-ins scribed to fit older homes.

Countertops & Backsplash
Quartz, granite and solid surface tops with templating and edge details, plus tile, slab or full-height backsplashes cut around outlets and windows.

Flooring & Tile
Tile, luxury vinyl plank and hardwood, including subfloor repair, underlayment, transitions and heated floor prep where you want it.

Lighting & Power
Recessed cans, pendants over islands, under-cabinet task lighting, dedicated appliance circuits and outlet relocation, coordinated with licensed electricians.

Plumbing & Fixtures
Sink and faucet upgrades, disposal and filtration, dishwasher and refrigerator water lines, and drain relocation when the layout changes.
How a kitchen project runs
Walk-through and estimate
We meet at your house, measure, look at what is behind the walls where we can, talk through your must-haves, and give you a written scope and price.
Selections and schedule
You lock in cabinets, counters, tile and fixtures. We build the schedule around lead times so demolition does not start before your materials exist.
Demolition and rough-in
We protect floors and adjoining rooms, pull out the old kitchen, handle framing changes, and get electrical and plumbing rough-in inspected.
Cabinets, tops and tile
Cabinets are set and leveled, counters are templated and installed, then backsplash, flooring and trim go in.
Punch list and walk-through
Hardware, caulk lines, touch-up paint, appliance hookups and a final walk-through together. We do not call it done until you do.
What drives the cost of a kitchen remodel
Most kitchen projects we price in Camas, Washougal and east Vancouver land in one of three bands:
- Cosmetic refresh — refacing or repainting, hardware, countertops, backsplash and paint$15,000 – $30,000
- Mid-range remodel — new cabinets, countertops, flooring and appliances in the existing layout$30,000 – $75,000
- High-end custom — custom cabinetry, premium materials, layout changes, new plumbing or electrical$75,000 – $150,000+
Two kitchens the same size can be thousands of dollars apart, and it usually comes down to four things. First, cabinetry: it is normally the single largest line item, and the jump from stock boxes to custom shop-built work is significant. Second, whether plumbing or electrical has to move — keeping the sink and range where they are saves real money. Third, what we find once the walls are open, which matters a lot in older Camas and Vancouver homes where wiring, venting and subfloors often need attention. Fourth, countertop material and how much seaming and edge detail it needs.
We price kitchens off your actual scope rather than a square-foot guess, and we put allowances in writing so you can see exactly where your money is going and where you can trade up or down.

Kitchen remodeling Camas WA: questions we get a lot
How long will my kitchen be out of commission?
Most full kitchen remodels run four to eight weeks on site, depending on cabinet lead times and whether we are moving walls or utilities. We will give you a realistic window up front and set up a temporary kitchen area before demolition.
Can you just refresh the kitchen instead of gutting it?
Yes. Refacing or repainting cabinets, new counters, a new backsplash, updated lighting and new hardware can change the whole room for a fraction of a full remodel. We are happy to price both options side by side.
Do you handle permits and inspections?
We do. When a project involves structural changes, new circuits or moved plumbing, we pull the permits and coordinate inspections so the work is documented and legal for resale.
Which areas do you serve?
Camas is home base. We regularly work in Vancouver, Washougal, Battle Ground and Ridgefield, and throughout Clark County, Washington. Before you hire anyone for kitchen remodeling Camas WA or anywhere else in the state, run their UBI through Washington L&I’s contractor lookup — ours is #603-267-042.
