Bathrooms are won or lost behind the tile
A bathroom is the wettest room in your house, and it is the one place where cutting corners shows up two years later as a soft floor, a musty smell, or grout that will not stay clean. That is why we spend as much attention on what you will never see — slope, waterproofing membrane, backer board, blocking, ventilation — as we do on the tile pattern you picked out.
Our team handles the framing, the substrate, the waterproofing and the finish tile itself, so nobody gets to blame the previous trade. If we build the shower, we own the whole assembly. That is also why we are comfortable working in the older homes around Camas, Washougal and east Vancouver, where opening a wall usually turns up something that needs correcting.

What we build in a bathroom

Custom Tile Showers
Curbless and curbed pans, linear and center drains, niches, benches, glass block and full-height tile with properly sloped, fully waterproofed substrates.

Freestanding & Alcove Tubs
Soaker and freestanding tub installs with reinforced framing, floor-mount or wall-mount fillers, and tub-to-shower conversions when the tub never gets used.

Vanities & Storage
Single and double vanities, custom linen towers, recessed medicine cabinets and drawer banks built to fit the wall you actually have.

Floors That Last
Tile and luxury vinyl over repaired, stiffened subfloors, with heated floor systems installed under tile if you want a warm floor in January.

Lighting & Ventilation
Vanity and shower-rated lighting, dimmers, GFCI protection and correctly sized exhaust fans ducted to the outside — not into the attic.

Accessible Upgrades
Zero-threshold entries, blocking for grab bars, comfort-height toilets, hand showers and wider door openings for aging-in-place remodels.
How a bathroom project runs
On-site walk-through
We look at the existing layout, the fixture locations, the venting and the floor below, then give you a written scope and price with clear material allowances.
Selections
Tile, plumbing fixtures, vanity, glass and lighting get chosen and ordered. Shower glass is measured after tile, so we plan for that gap in the schedule.
Demo and rough-in
Floor protection goes down, the old bath comes out, and any framing, drain relocation or new circuits get done and inspected.
Waterproofing and tile
Pan and slope, membrane, backer board and a water test where appropriate — then tile, grout and sealing.
Fixtures and final details
Vanity, toilet, trim, glass, mirrors, paint and caulk, followed by a walk-through with you before we clear out.
What changes the price of a bathroom remodel
Most bathroom projects we price in Camas, Washougal and east Vancouver land in one of three bands:
- Refresh — new fixtures, tile and paint, no layout changes$8,000 – $15,000
- Mid-range remodel — tub-to-shower conversion, new vanity, updated plumbing and electrical$15,000 – $28,000
- Full reconfiguration — layout changes, moved plumbing, custom tile work$28,000 and up
The biggest single factor is whether the plumbing stays where it is. Keeping the toilet, tub and shower drains in place keeps a bathroom remodel predictable; moving them means opening the floor and, in a two-story house, sometimes the ceiling below. After that it is tile: a large-format porcelain wall goes up far faster than a mosaic floor with a herringbone shower surround, and labor follows complexity. Glass is a third variable, since a frameless custom enclosure costs several times what a framed slider does.
Small bathrooms are also not automatically cheap. A powder room or hall bath still needs the same waterproofing, the same fixtures and the same inspections — there is simply less square footage to spread the cost across.
We put allowances in writing for tile, fixtures and glass so you can see exactly where the money sits and adjust before we order anything.
These are planning numbers for a 2026 Clark County project, not a quote. For a room-by-room breakdown, read our small bathroom remodel ideas guide.
Bathroom remodeling questions we get a lot
How long does a bathroom remodel take?
A straightforward hall bath is usually two to three weeks on site. A full master bath with a custom tile shower and glass typically runs three to five weeks, largely because tile, grout cure time and glass templating cannot be rushed.
Can I convert my tub into a walk-in shower?
In most cases yes, and it is one of the best-value changes you can make in a bathroom you use every day. We check the drain location and framing first, since a tub drain often needs to move for a shower pan.
Will I be without a bathroom the whole time?
Only the bathroom we are working in. If it is your only full bath, tell us at the estimate and we will sequence the work to shorten the days it is completely out of service.
Which areas do you serve?
We are based in Camas and work throughout Clark County, Washington, including Vancouver, Washougal, Battle Ground and Ridgefield.
